Support Educator or Housing Support Worker

Jäder Sundby is a special housing facility within social psychiatry. The facility is located 25 minutes outside of Eskilstuna in a beautiful nature-oriented environment. We work based on SoL and LSS decisions with a broad target group where we offer individual support in daily life to people with various cognitive and social functional variations.

We create, based on an evidence-based approach, conditions, quality of life, and tools for our users to achieve a more independent life. The target group consists of users in need of complex interventions and support outside the urban environment, where proximity to a calm and natural environment is seen as part of the rehabilitative work.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Regardless of your role, you will provide individualized support in daily life. You will plan, implement, and follow up on interventions and establish individual implementation plans based on the users' needs.

You will perform care tasks and work with social skills training where you strengthen the individual's independence through a pedagogical and evidence-based approach. You will document, follow up on interventions, have medication delegation, and act as a contact person.

As a Support Educator, you will also have a guiding role. You will support colleagues and contribute to a holistic view of the methodological work in the organization and the individual's needs. You will collaborate with internal and external actors.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position of Support Educator, we are looking for someone with a YH education as a Support Educator or other training that we assess as equivalent. For the position of Housing Support Worker, a completed and approved high school education is required. If you are a trained nursing assistant, it is an advantage, but not a requirement.

Regardless of the role, you need to have at least one year of experience working with the target group, such as in housing, outpatient care, or other similar activities. You have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written, and are accustomed to using IT in your work. Since it is not possible to reach the workplace by public transport, you need to have a B driver's license and access to your own car.

Experience in care tasks and physical rehabilitation, such as movement training, is meritorious. It is also meritorious if you have experience working with individuals with comorbidity and are used to collaborating with other actors. Furthermore, knowledge of and experience with low-affect responses, as well as experience in meeting and managing outwardly aggressive behaviors, is meritorious. Experience working with implementation plans and documentation is also seen as meritorious.
